Education changes lives. Every LGBTQ+ student in the Rocket City deserves the chance to chase theirs. The Rocket City Pride Scholarship helps students in our community pursue higher education, from four-year universities to community colleges and trade or technical schools.
Applications are reviewed by our selection committee, and every applicant hears back. Your application is kept private. It's only visible to you and the committee.
Who Can Apply
- You identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
- You plan to attend a college, university, community college, or trade or technical program. You don't need to be accepted yet; pending and in-progress applications are welcome.
- The information you share with us is accurate.
Helpful to Have (Not Required)
These strengthen an application, but you can submit without them. Don't let a missing document stop you from applying.
Proof of acceptance or enrollment
An acceptance letter, enrollment confirmation, or similar document (image, PDF, or Word file).
A reference
Either a reference letter to upload, or the contact information of someone who can speak to who you are, such as a teacher, mentor, employer, or community member.
The application also includes a few short written questions about your goals and how this scholarship would help. There's no wrong way to answer. We just want to get to know you.
